The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission this morning arraigned Jide Omokore, the chairman of Atlantic Energy Drilling Concept Limited, and Andrew Yakubu, a former group managing director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, on money laundering charges.
A statement by the EFCC said Mr. Omokore and Mr. Yakubu
were charged before Binta Murtala-Nyako at the Federal High Court Abuja on a
four-count of money laundering.
The commission listed other individuals and firms charged
alongside them as Victor Briggs, Abiye Membere, David Mbanefo, Atlantic Energy
Brass Development Limited and Atlantic Energy Drilling Concepts Limited.
