A
clash among youths has left two people dead and 20 persons injured yesterday
during a carnival in Kogbona community in Ondo State. Security men were said to
be helpless when the crisis broke out, leading to a free-for-all.
A
source said two rival cult groups had earlier engaged in a fight before the
carnival commenced. There was tension over the killing, as many youths
protested.
One
of the dead, who was identified as Afusat Ayodeji, was the alleged leader of a
cult group in the town, while the identity of the other victim was unknown.
The
Divisional Police Officer (DPO) for Enuowa, Mr Kunle Omisakin has confirmed the
arrest of two persons.
