Hundreds
of aspiring Nigerian lawyers have failed their final examinations in the law
school amidst a couple of thousands that participated.
The
Council of Legal Education has disclosed that out of a total of 3, 056
candidates that participated in the April 2016 Bar final examination, 720 of
them failed.
The
Council, through a statement that was signed by the Director General of the
Nigerian Law School, Mr. O. A. Onadeko, said the result reflected 23.6 per cent
failure.
However,
a further breakdown of the result showed that whereas a total of 2, 232 of the
candidates passed the Bar final resit examination, representing 73.0 per cent,
104 candidates secured conditional pass representing 3.4 per cent.
According
to the statement, call to Bar ceremonies for the successful candidates is
scheduled to hold on July 12 in Abuja.
