A
46-year-old woman identified as Celestina Mamah from Udenu local Government
Area of Enugu state has committed suicide.
We gathered that the deceased stabbed herself to death in a forest after
allegedly testing positive to Human Immune Virus (HIV).
The
victim according to the police spokesman in Enugu State, DSP Ebere Amaraizu,
“had left her home on 28/5/16 at about 6pm and headed to a forest near Ogwu
rest house in Udenu local Government Area of Enugu state where she allegedly
stabbed herself to death.”
He
said her dead body was found at about 11am on Sunday.
Amaraizu
added that full scale investigations on the incident had commenced and that the
remains of the deceased had been deposited at an undisclosed hospital within
the council.
