8 Nigerian Athletes banned after testing positive to drugs

Eight Nigerian athletes have tested positive to banned drugs. According to the Minister of Youth and Sport, Solomon Dalung, the athletes who tested positive to banned drugs and who have now all been banned from sporting activities are; Samson Idiata (Athletics) Sunday Ezeh (Para-athletics), Thomas Kure (Para-powerlifting) Patience Opuene (Wrestling), James Igbadiwei, Deborah Odeyemi and Chinazom Amadi.


They were reported to have tested positive at the 2015 All Africa Games held in Congo and have been banned for 4-years except, a weightlifter, Elizabeth Owuah who was banned for eight years.
